                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                   LOCATED NORTHEAST FROM EAST 13TH STREET,
                   BETWEEN GREENWOOD AVENUE AND HIGHLAND PARK
                   AVENUE, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an alley located northeast from East 13th Street, 

         between Greenwood Avenue and Highland Park Avenue, more
         particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached
         hereto and made a part hereof by reference:
                A 6 foot wide alleyway beginning on the northeast
                line of East 13th Street 129.5 feet southeast of
                the intersection of the northeast line of East 13th
                Street with the southeast line of Greenwood Avenue,
                and extending northeast 265 feet between parallel
                lines, and parallel to Greenwood Avenue, to the
                southwest line of East 12th Street.  Said alleyway
                separates lots 7-12, King and Baxter's Subdivision
                of Blocks 15 and 17 of Mrs. I.W. Henderson's
                Addition to Highland Park, as shown by plat of
                record in deed book P, volume 7, page 634,
                R.O.H.C., from lots 13-17 1/2, block 17, T.G.
                Montague's Addition to Highland Park, as shown by
                plat of record in plat book 2, page 18, R.O.H.C. 
                Tax Map No. 1460-C-2-8.
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
